NURS 741 - Contemporary Academic Nursing Academic nursing serves as the foundation for innovation, quality and safety in nursing practice and care delivery. As such, academic nursing is charged with keeping pace with contemporary issues in healthcare and practice for the assurance that the preparation and practices of graduates stands to address the needs of the dynamic and complex healthcare environment and the evolving needs of global society. This course focuses on innovative and visionary academic leadership and the process of disruptive innovation that is necessary to capitalize on opportunities necessary to advance the nursing profession and healthcare outcomes. 3 credit hours
