NURS 590 - Acute/Emergent Care I This course provides the adult-gerontological acute care nurse practitioner (AG-ACNP) student both didactic and clinical experience in order to develop and refine the knowledge and skills needed to deliver care to adult patients with acute or chronic diagnosis in the context of the AG-ACNP scope of practice. Emphasis is placed upon the student’s base knowledge, analyzing normal and abnormal physiology with increasing independence in the application and provisions of evidenced based clinical decision making, problem identification and management, health promotion and client and family education and counseling. 7 credit hours 150 hourse clinical
