HLTH 202 - Cultural Competence in Healthcare Key elements in cultural competency as they pertain to individuals and families across the lifespan are explored. Health care models based on current evidence will be used to analyze disparities in the delivery of care to diverse groups of people in the United States. Students will develop advocacy skills to promote positive health outcomes for diverse populations. 3 credit hours Prerequisite: None In this course, students will explore the provision of health care to culturally and socioeconomically diverse groups.
