Mount Carmel College of Nursing’s Master of Science Program in Nursing Leadership - Clinical Operations is a dynamic program designed for career-minded nurses who are ready to expand their knowledge and expertise in nursing leadership. The online program focuses on developing core leadership skills of practicing nurses and prepares them to act and think strategically, lead organizations through improvement and innovation efforts while participating in policy decisions.

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Nursing Leadership - Clinical Operations, graduates will have the knowledge and skills to:

  1. Assume advanced roles in nursing leadership
  2. Lead the development of competent healthcare to diverse populations
  3. Use epidemiological, social and environmental data to draw inferences for the development of healthcare services
  4. Facilitate the use of evidence-based practice in nursing services
  5. Facilitate the development and implementation of programs on health promotion or disease prevention
  6. Evaluate nursing delivery systems to assure quality outcomes
  7. Demonstrate leadership in nursing and healthcare services
  8. Use ethical decision making in relevant practice roles
  9. Collaborate with other disciplines to achieve quality outcomes in nursing and healthcare services
  10. Promote nursing as a profession and discipline
  11. Demonstrate scholarly inquiry about nursing and health systems through verbal and written communication
  12. Analyzes ethical, legal, and social factors influencing policy and the interdependence and impact of policy on healthcare practice across discipline
