NURS 204 - Foundations of Health Assessment and Health Promotion In Caring Health Practices This course introduces the student to the nursing process with an emphasis on holistic assessment across the life-span and provides opportunities to implement the nursing caring practices of health assessment and health promotion in a variety of settings. Holistic assessment includes cultural, developmental, nutritional, psychosocial, psychomotor, and spiritual dimensions. 5 credit hours 4 theory hours and 3 clinical hours per week Prerequisite: Organic Biochemistry (SCIE 103 ), Anatomy/Physiology I (SCIE 123 ), Anatomy/Physiology II (SCIE 124 ), and Microbiology (SCIE 125 ) Corequisite: Nutrition (SCIE 220 )
