Nursing Administration

The Nursing Administration track prepares the professional nurse for practice roles in nursing administration/management. The course work builds on the foundation of strong professional practice.
Students graduating from the Nursing Administration track will be eligible for American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification examination for Nurse Executive, Advanced.
Student Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the Nursing Administration track, graduates will have the knowledge and skills to:
- Assume advanced roles in nursing administration
- Lead the development of competent health care services to diverse populations
- Use epidemiological, social, and environmental data to draw inferences for the development of health care services
- Facilitate the development and implementation of programs on health promotion and disease prevention
- Evaluate nursing service delivery systems to assure quality outcomes
- Demonstrate leadership in nursing and health care services
- Use ethical decision making in relevant practice roles
- Collaborate with other disciplines to achieve quality outcomes in nursing and healthcare services
- Facilitate the use of evidence-based practice in nursing services
- Promote nursing as a profession and a discipline
- Demonstrates scholarly inquiry about nursing and health systems through verbal and written communication in nursing and health systems
