RN-BSN Program Curriculum




RN-BSN Completion Program


The goal of the Mount Carmel College Online RN-BSN Completion Program is to offer educational opportunities that will expand an RN’s current knowledge base to earn a BSN. The curriculum features a wide sprectrum of classes and course work to facilitate learning that integrates the most current knowledge from the humanities, liberal arts, and sciences with current health issues. Time to completion of the program will vary based on whether students attend full-time or part-time.

Curriculum

Prerequisite Requirements

  • A current and unrestricted RN license
  • 48 semester credits of General Electives coursework
  • 42 semester credits of Nursing coursework

The RN student must have a current, unencumbered state license*. No nursing proficiency or placement exams are required for admission. Through RN licensure and prior academic credit, applicants may have earned credit (42 semester credit hours in nursing and 48 semester credit hours in general education) transferred in towards the BSN degree.
